When Can You Set Off Fireworks in Evansville?

Ready to celebrate the 4th of July? Make sure your celebrations don’t get you in trouble with Evansville Police.

In the city of Evansville, you can only ignite fireworks between June 29 and July 9 between the hours of 5 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. On July 4, however, you can set off fireworks starting at 10 a.m. until midnight.

You also can’t set off fireworks on any public street, in any public park or public area in the city. This includes city property like Dress Plaza during the community fireworks display.

If you set off fireworks, you cannot do so in a manner that causes them to land somewhere other than your property. This means you can’t aim your firework toward a neighbor’s yard or a park area.
