Woman Accused of Murder Due in Court

An Evansville woman accused of murder is due in court on Monday morning.

Chauna Reed, 25, is accused of murdering her boyfriend, Stedman Baird.

Police say Baird was shot and killed at an apartment on Evansville's south side back in October.

Court records show Reed told detectives she must have shot her boyfriend but doesn't remember doing it.

Reed also faces a charge of meth possession.

Police reportedly found a bag of heroin at the crime scene, but a judge threw out that charge because police had not had the suspected heroin tested.

Eyewitness News will continue to follow this story for any new developments.
