Woman Killed In Drive-by Shooting in Evansville

Update: 

Vanderburgh County Coroner Steve Lockyear says Jamie Baker, 40, died from a single gunshot wound to the back.

Evansville Police continue to investigate with no reports of any suspects at this time.

Evansville police are investigating an overnight shooting death.

It happened around two Monday morning in the 1900 block of Cass Avenue.

Police say the female victim was walking with a male companion when the shooting happened.

According to officers, she died at the scene.

As of now police have not released her identity and there are no reports of any suspects in custody.
