Woman who found Aleah's remains arrested on multiple charges

The woman who previously discovered Aleah Beckerle's body back in March was arrested Monday on multiple charges.

Cathy Murray was arrested on charges including auto theft, false informing, possession of paraphernalia, and two counts of failure to appear.

Murray discovered Beckerle's body back in March.

Murray said she and some friends were 'bando hunting,' which involves going inside abandoned houses to search for items that can be re-sold or refurbished.

South Bedford house

The house where Beckerle's body was discovered was in the 1600 block of South Bedford in Evansville.

That house was actually torn down on Monday, according to Evansville Executive Director of Metropolitan Development Kelley Coures.
