Women Charged with Possession of Forged Instrument

On Monday, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Office received a complaint of people trying to buy items with suspected counterfeit money at the Dollar Store in Drakesboro, Kentucky.

Authorities say a store employee reported two females had been in the store and tried to pay for merchandise with counterfeit money.

After an investigation, we are told Regina Ward, 46, from Greenville was charged with criminal possession of forged instrument.

Melissa Hocker, 41, of Beechmont was charged with criminal possession of forged instrument, tampering with physical evidence, and promoting contraband.

Both Ward and Hocker were lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
