In the midst of contract discussions with Evansville and Peoria, LST-325 board members say the number of people visiting the World War II vessel is up.
Board member Chris Donahue said warmer weather and the attention LST-325 has received lately has helped boost attendance numbers in the last three weeks.
The mayor’s office in Peoria is presenting its proposal to the city council on Tuesday. If approved, Donahue said the board will consider plans from Evansville and Peoria. He said a decision may be reached by June.
