Madisonville Sends Notice to Kentucky Utilities

The city of Madisonville is officially looking to break its relationship with Kentucky Utilities.

Mayor David Jackson says the city sent its five year notice to KU this week. That means they'll remain with the utility for another five years before getting their electricity elsewhere.

Madisonville is one of several Kentucky Utilities that raised objections to contract changes they say would lead to higher rates for customers.
