The dining room door has welcomed a lot of guests over the past one hundred years, and Cletus Muensterman has been there almost as long. Muensterman says he's 90 years old and then laughs saying that the building is just 10 years older than him. Muensterman doesn't let his age stop in and says its the friendship that brings him back. He says that he also loves to sing and that he has been singing since 1984, but joined the Germania Maennerchor in 1982. He says it's a friend that got him to join the Germania Maennerchor.

Muensterman served in World War II, and it was that war that affected this long time tradition. Member Jim Kluesner says that Volksfest was running in the 1930s, but during the war, people didn't like the Germans and so Volksfest was halted until 1962. Today, the festival continues to bring another country's culture to our country's life.
