Stepping Up is an opportunity to learn networking techniques from the experts in a luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, April 4.
It is free and open to the public.

Four women who have learned to master aspects of networking will lead sessions at each table. Erika Taylor will speak on how to work a room and make the right connections, Stephanie Terry will discuss the importance of family support, Vaneta Becker will explain how to find mentors and Gail Riecken will speak on understanding the culture of politics, fundraising and dress. The speakers will rotate among tables of participants so that everyone will have the opportunity to hear each session. The luncheon will close with a brief question and answer period.
The event is planned by Stepping Up, a nonpartisan committee designed to encourage women in Southern Indiana to step up and learn how to participate on boards, run for office and inspire or mentor other women. It operates under the guidance of the Women's Equality Day Committee and with the help of the League of Women Voters of Southwestern Indiana.

The luncheon will be at noon in the Blue & Gold Room of the Old National Bank food court. Come early (11 to11:30 a.m.) to buy your lunch in the food court and bring your tray to the meeting room on the main floor.
