The Kentucky Attorney General's Office of Special Prosecutions takes over a murder trial in Muhlenberg County.

In a letter obtained by Eyewitness News, we learn Commonwealth Attorney Ralph Vick requested the Attorney General's Office take over the case against Brenda Hardin of Central City.

Hardin has been indicted on charges of murder and tampering evidence in the death of her ex-husband Ronnie Hardin.

Vick reportedly had a conflict of interest in this case for representing Ronnie Hardin in an unrelated manner.
