Federal Judge Richard Young of Evansville yesterday declared the Hoosier States unconstitutional.
Today, 14 more marriage licenses were issued to same-sex couples in Vanderburgh County. That adds to the 10 that were issued yesterday.
The Vanderburgh County Clerk's Office is urging couples to make an appointment first before applying for a license.
"My first year in office I thought I had to do everybody that came in," said Vanderburgh County Clerk Debbie Stucki. "I was trying to accommodate everybody. But you do six or seven marriages a day, and you know that's one an hour. You don't get much of anything else done."
Here are the number of licenses other counties have issued so far:
Warrick County - 5
Gibson County - 2
Perry County - 2
Posey County - 1
Pike County - 1
Spencer - 1
