Court Upholds Sentencing for Convicted Child Molester

An Indiana court upholds the sentence for an Evansville man convicted of sexually molesting a young girl in three Tri-State counties over several years.

Jacob Phillips was arrested in 2010 after the victim reported the abuse. He was convicted in Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties and sentenced to a combined 85 years.

Phillips had challenged his sentence from a judge in Posey County that added another 15 years to his sentence. Today, the appeals court upheld the ruling, calling the sentence "appropriate".
