Crews Getting Intersections up to Federal Standards

Some drivers call it random pop-up work zones throughout Evansville. A lot of intersections getting some makeovers.

The City Engineers Office says places like Lincoln Ave. near Garvin St. and Grand Ave. are getting new curbs. This is to help out those in wheelchairs and motorized scooters. The American with Disabilities Act requires streets to be wheelchair accessible.

There are dozens of sidewalks that will have orange barrels around them, We're told the city-wide project should be finished by September 12.
