Deputies say Pick-up Truck Driver Crossed Path of Sheriff's Deputy, Causing Crash

Update in the crash involving a Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Deputy.
According to the incident report,  Deputy Alison Lancaster was in a marked cruiser heading west at the intersection of St. Joe and Diamond Ave, when a pick-up truck turned into the deputies path.
The vehicles collided and the impact caused the deputy's cruiser to hit a Jeep, also traveling down Diamond Avenue.
Deputy Lancaster was not injured.
The driver of the pick-up truck was taken to  a hospital for a minor injury. A passenger in the Jeep also was taken to a nearby hospital with complaints of injuries to her head and hand.
The driver of the vehicle that turned into the path of the deputy was cited for failure to yield.
All parties were wearing seat-belts, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the wreck.

A Vanderburgh County Sheriff's deputy is involved in a crash with another car this evening. It happened at the intersection of Diamond Ave. and St. Joseph's Ave.

According to the sheriff's office, the deputy behind the wheel was not hurt. The other driver suffered minor injuries.

We're told the scene is now clean up and open to traffic.
