Those plans call for the conversion of the historic building into dozens of upscale apartments. The estimated cost of the project is more than $12 million.
The Kunkel Group is still working to secure financing for the project. With the permits they have, there is December 6, deadline to begin construction. However, the Kunkel Group, according to Building Commissioner Ben Miller, can always ask for an extension.
There is a progress meeting scheduled for September 11.
