A Tri-State Christian school has major changes on its agenda. Evansville Christian school will soon build a new 7th through 12th grade high school on 16 acres of land at the corner of Epworth Rd. and Lincoln Ave. in Newburgh.

School officials recently reached an agreement with Epworth United Methodist Church and Crossroads Christian Church to secure the area.

Although there are no specific designs for the school at this time, one school official tells us it will be much more than just a building on a piece of land.

"We will never want to describe it as a 7th-12th school," said 5th-8th Grade Principal Mike Allen. "This is going to be a community learning experience, and that's our whole design around that. Once we design how it can be used, then we design what it's going to look like to be able to fit the use we want for it."

The new Evansville Christian School will consist of 360 students and will include athletics and fine arts. School officials have until 2017 to plan and break ground for the new facility.
