Starting Wednesday, and through July, the Water and Sewer Utility will change how it treats your drinking water.
The utility will be switching from it's normal disinfectant, to what's called free chlorine.
It's a stronger disinfectant designed to remove resistant bacteria from the distribution system.
Utility officials say you may notice a slight change in the taste or smell of your water during this temporary switch, but they add the water is still safe to drink.
