Care givers from seven Kentucky counties are discussing long-term care for the elderly and disabled. It's part of the Quality of Life and Quality of Care Forum in Owensboro.

They talked about the state of long term care in western Kentucky, challenges facing care givers, and different types of care available.

U.S. Census projections show one in four Kentuckians will be 65 or older in 15 years.

"There are long term car facilities," said Vivian McNatton of Green River Area Development District. "There are adult day care health facilities. There are assisted living facilities. People take care of their loved one at home. It's bringing it all together."

This morning's forum is one of 15 being held across Kentucky this Summer.
