The Gibson County Fair comes to town. But, it's what will happen after the fair that has many excited.
This summer, the grounds will undergo the first phase of a multi-million dollar renovation.
The project will include construction of new facilities, and improvements to the area's infrastructure over the next 4 years.
Several fair goers like Dan Gilbert say they're excited.
He says, "change is different. Does that mean change is bad? Some people will think it's bad. Some people have not been in favor of this project, but over all i think it will be real boom to the community because they will see all of the resources it brings and all of the possibilities it will open up, and I think its a great thing."
The grounds are expected to look very different at next year's fair. Board members hope to have the new 4-H facility complete.
