Evansville's Good Neighbor Ordinance will move forward after the city attorney determined the 5-4 council vote was enough for the amendment to pass.

Members voted last night. It's designed to crack down on unlawful tenants.

City Attorney Scott Danks had to review the requirements because the proposal is an amendment to a current ordinance.

The good neighbor ordinance forces the evictions of those facing charges of major crimes like murder, rape, or child molestation.
