Kicking off campaign season, Governor Mike Pence along with state and local leaders cut the ribbon to the Victory Office for the 8th Congressional District in Evansville.

Pence says the phone bank will help "re-elect and expand" Indiana's greatest legislature.

State Representative Holli Sullivan was there. She says she and her family will be spending a lot of time at the phone bank in the coming months.

"Well, for my campaign it's a breath of fresh air here as we close in," said Sullivan. "We are at 77 days left before Election Day. This will be a great boost to have groups of people working to get out the vote and just to make sure people are aware of all the different races and candidates in our area."

The ribbon cutting was one of several stops Pence made today in the River City. Tonight, he attended a fundraiser at the Evansville Museum.
