He served as the U.S. Attorney for Indiana's Southern District for four years. Now, Joe Hogsett may be exploring a new position: mayor of Indianapolis.

Hogsett says he will form an exploratory committee to look into a run for Indianapolis mayor.

Hogsett stepped down as U.S. Attorney last month, and started a partnership with Bose McKinney & Evans litigation practice group in Indianapolis.

The U.S. Department of Justice named Josh Minkler as acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District.
