Ritz spoke about the importance of career and technical education.
ISTEP was also on the table, which came under fire recently for its increased length.
When asked about the recent law that strips her power as chair of the State Board of Education, Ritz said she's just focused on the students.
"I will tell you I'm not focused on the politics of things, I'm focused on the educational items," said State Superintendent Glenda Ritz.
Close to 50 people showed up to hear from Ritz this afternoon.
