Inmate Quickly Captured after Escaping from Police Cruiser

A close call for Owensboro Police this afternoon.

Police say a Daviess County inmate 26-year-old Thomas Rapier was en-route from the jail to the police station, when he managed to kick out a back window of a police cruiser and take off.

 Rapier made it maybe two blocks before he was caught. He now faces additional charges of escape and criminal mischief.
