A man who's helped lead the charge in getting sex offenders off the streets is stepping down.

U.S. Attorney Joseph Hogsett submitted his resignation to Attorney General Eric Holder this morning.

He has served Indiana's Southern District since October of 2010.

Hogsett has visited the Tri-State several times recently to announce the round-up of drug dealers and sex offenders.
