Man Arrested after Police Say He Threatened to Shoot a Woman in Front of Her Child

Man jailed for alleged threats and gun charges after shots fired report at Casey's General Store.
Thursday morning, shortly after Sheriff's deputies responded to a shots fired call at Casey's General Store on  St. Joe Avenue, officers received another call about an armed gunman in the area.
Upon arrival at the 6100 block of Danville Drive in Evansville, the victim reported being threatened by 23 year-old Tylorian Matthews. Police say Matthews allegedly pointed a gun at the victims head and claimed he would shoot her in front of her child.
Deputies located Matthews nearby at a residence in the 1900 block of Westbrook Drive.
The gun was found under the car at the same location. An examination of the handgun revealed the weapon had been recently fired.
Matthews is currently being held at the Vanderburgh County Jail on an intimidation and weapons charges.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges and/or arrests are possible.
