Still no cause for a morning fire that forced a Tristate family out on the streets. Fire broke out around 2 a.m. near Third and Maple in Owensville.
The family was coming out as emergency crews arrived on scene. Firefighters say they couldn't send crews inside as the roof of the home was collapsing. One girl inside was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The structure is considered a loss. Owensville Fire Chief Rodger Leister are still paying close attention to the property.
"We'll probably get in there with an excavator if we have to, to keep the fire from rekindling and spreading to a neighboring home right there that's real close", he says.
