Crews will be out in force this Friday night and not just covering football. The Vanderburgh County Health Department is targeting areas thick with those pesky mosquitoes.

Crews will spray the southeast side of Evansville from Highway 41 to Green River Rd. and from Pollack Ave. to I-164. The health department is focusing on areas where significant mosquito or West Nile Virus activity has been found.

So far, six sample pools of mosquito tested positive for West Nile Virus. 28 Indiana counties have had positive samples of the virus.

Spraying will take place from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., weather permitting.
