The Jacobsville Street Scape Project will stretch from Division St. to Garvin Park and Bosse Field. This means new sidewalks, landscaping, and a bike path.
"Mayor Winnecke's vision of positive progress is to tie theses areas together for people coming in to visit," said Interim Executive Director of Metropolitan Development Kelly Coures. "When we get the new conventional hotel, for people to do things for people to do when they're here for a convention. Go to W. Franklin St. Go to North Main, have dinner at one of these other cultural areas and make it connective, so everything is connected together."
No word when the project will get underway. The hope is for it be done by the middle of next year.
