Stoltz Retiring as Madisonville Fire Chief

The head of one of western Kentucky's biggest fire departments is stepping down.

Madisonville Fire Chief Steven Stoltz announced his retirement at Monday's city council meeting.

Stoltz has been chief the past eight years and spent more than 30 years with the department.

He'll officially leave the post on August 31.
