United Way works to help people increase their level of self sufficiency and to be able to have all their basic needs met. This year it hopes to raise $4.1 million.
"Every year it's a thrill," said United Way Southwestern Indiana President Carol Braden-Clark. "It's exciting because you realize just the generosity and the number of people in our community that really care about helping their neighbors, their friends, and people in need in this community."
The campaign will officially kickoff on September 5.
