Officials Say Skid Sparks Started Recycling Plant Frie

Investigators say they've figured out what sparked a fire at an Evansville recycling plant earlier this week.

Officials confirm sparks from skids used to move cardboard caught loads of shredded paper on fire Monday night at Tri-State Resource Recovery on the city's north side.

The flames were out in less than 20 minutes, and firefighters say around 80 bales of paper were destroyed.

No one was hurt, but the loss of products and damage will cost the owner about $30,000.
