UPDATE: A woman is sent to the hospital following a late night shooting on Evansville's south side. The incident happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Linwood, near the intersection of East Riverside Drive.

Investigators say the woman was shot in the shoulder and taken to the hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries. The Evansville Police Department is still trying to figure out what happened.

"We're not really 100-percent sure, we think someone walked up to the door and shot through the door," said Evansville Police Sgt. Lonnie Rahm.

Officers say they do have a possible suspect in the shooting, but at last check no arrests had been made.
