Owensboro city and Daviess County, Kentucky officials say a lot was done in the past year, but a lot still needs to be done.

Mayor Ron Payne and Judge Executive Al Mattingly delivered the State of the Community address this morning.

Mayor Payne says this year wil be life changing for the city with the continuing downtown redevelopment.

Mattingly says there's still a lot of work to do to improve quality of life.

"We have several fairly large road projects going on in the community," said Mattingly. "We have senior center that we are trying to develop, a Bluegrass music center, there are a lot of projects still left to be done."

Payne also says he plans to meet with state leaders about the proposed I-67 project, which would run through Daviess County.
