Michele Johnson has three kids headed to school Monday. She said her children’s school supply lists this year don’t seem as ‘excessive’ as in the past, but sometimes the number of items requested and the types of items requested surprise her.
Warrick County School Superintendent Brad Schneider said each of the lists are approved by administrators. He said although some of the requests may seem a little cryptic right now, parents and students may be surprised by how the items are used in the coming months.
If parents are worried about making ends meet, Schneider suggested reaching out to the school principal or local churches.
