Plans for D-Patrick to relocate downtown continue to move forward.
Today the state of Indiana awarded Evansville and Vanderburgh County the money to remove more than 80 abandoned properties across the city.
This includes more than 30 homes in the area where D-Patrick plans to move just south of the Lloyd on Highway 41.
Homes were selected over several months.
The nearly 1.7 million dollars comes from the state's hardest hit fund.
City officials will hold a public hearing in the near future to discuss all the details.
