An Evansville teen faces several charges including four felonies after a short chase with police.

EPD says the 17 year-old ran a stop sign at the intersection of Lodge and Covert Avenues. When police tried to pull him over, they say he sped through the parking lot of the Simpson Food Market on Covert.

The chase continued onto Lodge then Conlin Avenue when police say a gun was thrown out of the car.

The car stopped at Herbert Avenue and Maple Court.

Officers say the driver had several bags of marijuana on him, meth was inside the car,  and the gun was reported stolen from Warrick County. He was arrested on several charges.

The other juveniles in the car were released to family members.
