The accused killer of a Purdue University student says he has schizophrenia. And now, his attorney says they will explore using the insanity defense at trial.

Cody Cousins will take a mental health assessment with two court appointed psychiatrists or psychologists. This opens the door for the insanity defense.

Cousins' attorney also wants the trial moved to a different county. That trial is still set for October.
