Quinn Urging Drivers to Take No Texting Pledge

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn is urging drivers to take the pledge to never text and drive.

It's part of the AT&T initiative for "No Text on Board Pledge Day."  Quinn signed a proclamation naming September as "Texting and Driving Awareness Month."  Although the state bans drivers from texting and driving, it still has been an ongoing issue.  In recent years, there has been a spike in the number of crashes, injuries and fatalities across the county, related to texting while driving.
