In an interview with ABC News this past weekend, he said all options should be on the table when preventing Iran from having a nuclear weapon.
"I think it's sometimes a bad idea to announce in advance what your policy is for every possible, hypothetical situation," said Paul, "because then people react to that. Some of that I think needs to be kept a little closer to the vest, and that they need to know that we're serious, and that all options are on the table."
Paul says that he's supported sanctions against Iran to prevent them from getting a nuclear weapon and that containment may not be the best policy.
