A month long string of vandalism has Hopkins County Crime Stoppers offering a $500 reward to put an end to it.
Madisonville police say over the past month there have been more than 30 cases of vandalism and 6 cases of car theft. One of the more severe cases of vandalism was at the Badgett Center. 11 windows were knocked out, police say likely using rocks from the nearby railroad track.
Police say the string of vandalism is all over the city, also affecting houses and vehicles. "I've heard people saying that it's not hurting anybody they're not hurting people at least, but you know it's hurting people's wallets because I know my windows driver's side window and the windshield both to get replaced was close to $400," said vandalism victim Vance Hardrick.
Police have no suspects. If you would like to submit a tip you can call the Madisonville Police Department at 270-821-1720 or Hopkins County Crime Stoppers at 270-825-1111.
