One Tri-State Democrat Senator signed the letter to the NFL. One did not.

Thursday, 50 Demcorat U.S. Senators sent a letter to the NFL asking that the nickname of the Washington Redskins be changed. Illinois Senator Dick Durbin signed the letter, but Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly did not.

Donnelly says the team's owner and the NFL are best positioned to make decisions about the franchise. The Hoosier Democrat says he is focusing on other things like getting his military suicide prevention bill passed.
