Shooting Victim's Ex-Wife Out of Hospital Booked in Jail

UPDATE: The woman accused of killing her ex-husband in Central City made her first appearance in court today.
Brenda Hardin faces murder charges for killing Ronnie Hardin.
Brenda was taken to the hospital after taking several prescription medications. She has since been released from the hospital and booked into the Muhlenberg County Jail.

The Kentucky State Police have released new details for a Central City death investigation.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office says an autopsy showed 64 year-old Ronnie Hardin died from a single, gunshot wound.

KSP says the victim’s ex-wife, 61 year-old Brenda Hardin, is now facing murder charges.

On July 7, KSP responded to a report of a dead body at a West Whitmer Street residence.

Officers found Ronnie Hardin in a building next to the residence. Hardin was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner.

KSP tells us Brenda hardin is currently in the ICU at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital. They say she took multiple, prescription medications.
