Shot Collie Found in Daviess County

- Investigators are looking for suspects who shot a dog in Daviess County, Kentucky.

County Animal Control officials say a young collie was found Sunday night on Grandview Rd. near Maceo. The dog was taken to Louisville for treatment.

Officials say a passerby found the dog Sunday evening and first thought it was hit by a car. They say the dog may have been shot five or six days ago.

"It's hard to figure out why anyone would take a gun to a dog," said Ashley Clark of Daviess Co. Animal Control. "I can't imagine what this dog would've been doing to deserve a gun to its face."

Anyone with information on this can call Daviess County Animal Control at (270) 685-8275 or Daviess County Sheriff's Office at (270) 685-8444.
