Mother nature is giving us a break from the heat, humidity, and rain, which is good news for events that are being held outdoors.

One event that was held outdoors today was St. Mary's Market in Evansville.

Vendors set up to sell various items, including handmade jewelry, crafts, and of course, fresh produce.

One family operated business has been making kettle corn for nearly 10 years and thoroughly enjoys setting up their booth at St Mary's Market.

Donna Fickey says, "I've been here at St. Mary's Market for, I do believe it's been five years now, and this is my fifth summer here. I just love the community, the involvement with everyone, and the loyal customers I have with my product"

Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke opened the event with a ribbon cutting. A dunking booth was also set up where people had the chance to dunk different leaders from St. Mary's Foundation.

St. Mary’s Market Days are Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., through September 12th at St. Mary’s Hospital, 3700 Washington Avenue. (St. Mary’s Hospital Parking Lot.)
