State Representative Gail Riecken hosted three town hall meetings throughout Evansville. Riecken represents the 77th district, which covers the east and south sides of evansville and part of Fulton Avenue.
She met with constituents at Mccollough Library, Central Library and the Salvation Army on Fulton Avenue to answer questions, hear ideas, and take suggestions on the issues that matter to voters.
"I think there's a great interest in whats going on in the state of Indiana whatever the issues are; whether it's health, or education, or working families, everybody's concerned and I'll be concerned and I'll be looking forward to hearing what they feel will help us get a jump start and move forward."
Riecken tells us she's trying to get funding reinstated for a program called 'The Indiana Plan.' The program helps women and minorities get job training - and is in effect in other parts of the Hoosier state.
Riecken says Evansville had it for a short time, but lost funding.
