Residents in one union county town say a planned grain bin is too close to several nearby homes.

They say the planned bins going up near an old motel and bowling alley in Sullivan will be too noisy and damage air quality. Some say it'll be as close as a hundred and fifty feet to their house.

"If they wanted to build a grain bin first, I think they should've went around and talked to the local owners, get their opinions on it," says Tyler Cowan, who lives near the site.  But Gary Wright, who sold his bowling alley to the farmers, says he doesn't see any problems with it.

"You buy a piece of property and try to make money, and that's what they're doing. They're farmers. They've got to have storage units, they've got to have parking space," he says.

We reached out to the land owners earlier today, but they declined to comment.
