Police took 28 year-old Antonio Hadley into custody after a family member found Foster's body in his apartment.
Investigators believe Hadley killed Foster during a robbery. EPD says the two men knew each other prior to the incident.
Hadley was treated at a local hospital for cuts on his hands earlier today. According to authorities, family members were alerted when Hadley made comments about how he received the cuts, and then went to check on Foster.
Hadley had already been treated and released before police were called to Foster's apartment.
Police say Hadley was taken into custody and is facing murder and robbery charges.
The Vanderburgh County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 49 year-old Darryl Foster.
Foster is a resident of 811 West Virginia.
Authorities say a family member found the deceased at the address. EPD reports Foster's body had signs of trauma and are treating this as a suspicious case.
EPD says a person of interest has been brought into custody and is being interviewed by detectives.
An autopsy is scheduled for May 15.
