Congress Holds Hearing on VA Problems

Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are taking a closer look at the quality of care veterans receive. The House Veterans' Affairs Committee met today.

It comes amid a scathing new report by an independent government agency that finds veterans have suffered years of neglect at VA facilities across the country.

Congress is negotiating a final version of legislation to reform the VA. An estimated $35 billion will be spent over a 10 year period to fix the problems.
