Deadly Explosion at GM Plant in Marion, Ind.

One person dies and eight others are injured in a chemical explosion inside a General Motors Stamping Plant in Marion, Indiana.

Fire officals said chlorine dioxide was involved in the explosion. None of the eight people injured have life-threatening injuries.

The man killed was identified as 48-year-old James L. Gibson, a contract employee.

More than 1,600 people work at the plant.
